Mountain Bike Trails on Darling Hill are OPEN!

All Burke Mountain Trails are Closed

Burke Bike Park & Burke Summit Trails are CLOSED due to landowner agreements.

Les sentiers sont OUVERTS sur Darling Hill.

Out of respect for the landowners and the Association that makes the trail network possible, please remember that you need to have your Day pass or Year round Membership visibly placed on your bike while you use the Kingdom Trail network.  We work hard to provide world class trails for you to enjoy.

To purchase your membership or day pass, come to the  Kingdom Trails Welcome Center in East Burke village.  Our hours of operation are;

Sun-Thur 8AM-5PM

Fri-Sat 8AM-6PM

Registration includes:

CAMPING INFO:

  • All campers must wear event wrist bands at all times and display a camping tag on tents and RV campers.  
  • Ice, water, snacks and drinks are available at the Mid Burke Lodge.  Along with a bike wash station. 
  • Glass bottles are prohibited from the camping area.  Aluminum cans & plastic bottles are OK.  
  • Sunday night camping is available for an additional fee of $10 per night.  Purchase an extra night at the registration booth in the Mid Burke Lodge. 
  • Camp stoves are permitted-personal fire pits are NOT allowed. There will be a few group fire pits at various locations in the camping area along with group camp stoves for your convenience.  
  • Alcoholic beverages will be for sale at the Expo area at the Sherburne Base Lodge.  Please keep any of your own alcoholic beverages within the designated camping area.
  • Pets are not allowed at the camping area, expo area or on the Kingdom Trails. 
  • Keep Burke Green.  Put your trash and recyclable items in marked containers near the Porto-potties.  
  • Respect our neighbors.  Camping quiet times are from 11pm – 7am.

At this point, it is looking like the weather could once again cooperate and there will definitely be a super fun group of people…  no matter what, we’ll have a great line-up of activities.  This will be a day to get out, get your legs spinning- and soak up some VT Mountain Biking Culture.

When you arrive, check in at the Dashney Nordic Center for directions- or simply make your way to Trillium and head up to Junction #9 where you’ll find a fire and hot chocolate to warm you up.

Members and Day Pass holders are free.  All others. $5.

The 7th Annual Sled Dog Dash on Kingdom Trails is a family oriented event that brings dog sled racing to the Northeast Kingdom.  All Proceeds from the event benefit the Hope Fund, whose mission is to support and help children and families in the Northeast Kingdom enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.

Races begin around 9am and continue throughout the day until about 3pm.  Watch skijouring, 2-4-6-8 and even 12 dog teams compete!

  • Kids can participate in a 1-Dog event $5 per child, a helmet is required, stop by the information table to sign a waiver.
  • Family Sled Dog Rides all day long!  Price TBD

Hot locally made food, dog sled rides for the kids and more!

Kick off the weekend races at the annual benefit dinner and auction at the Sherburne Base Lodge at Burke Mountain Resort.

On March 9th we will be gathering early in the day to lead a charge against Old Man Winter. Group rides for all ability levels will be guided from the Kingdom Trails Nordic Center.  Bring whatever bike you wanna ride… there will be a route for everyone from Fat Bike Singletrack Fanatics to “Just wanna get out there and ride my bike” Riders.  There will be free Fat Bike Demo’s and rental bikes available as well as yummy snacks hot totties and cold beer.  The Market Café will be offering lunch.  And of course, the afternoon event of the day will be the 6X race down Candy Bar Hill- course designed by ideRide.  Full face and armor is advised if you wanna win… or just stand to the side (way to the side) and cheer on your favorite athlete while drinking a Trout River beer by the fire.  Register here
